The Highland Public Library has announced a variety of programs and events for January, offering opportunities for community engagement, creativity, and giving back.
Winter Coat Drive
The library is collecting gently used coats through Jan. 31 to help keep community members warm this winter. Donations can be dropped off at the library.
Town of Lloyd Senior Group Monthly Meeting
Seniors in the Town of Lloyd are invited to a monthly social gathering on Friday, Jan. 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the library’s meeting room. The group meets the first Friday of every month.
Veteran Coffee Hour
Veterans are welcome to join for coffee and conversation on Friday, Jan. 3, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the conference room.
Crafts to Go: Cardboard Fox Kit
For ages 7 and up, Cardboard Fox craft kits are available through curbside pickup or in-person until Saturday, Jan. 4. Supplies are limited to eight kits.
Crafts to Go: Paper Bird House
Children can pick up a Paper Bird House craft kit with a bird companion through Saturday, Jan. 4. Registration is required, and only 10 kits are available.
Yarn and Yak Craft Circle
Yarn crafters of all skill levels are invited to bring their projects and join this inclusive craft circle on Tuesday, Jan. 7, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the meeting room.
