The Highland Public Library Board of Trustees will be holding the annual Special District meeting on Tuesday April 25 at 5:30 p.m. A reading of the proposed budget will follow a report from the President of the Board. The annual budget vote will be held in the library from 10 am-7 pm on Wednesday April 26, 2023. Copies of the proposed budget may be obtained from the library beginning April 10, 2023, and on the library website.

One person is running for the one open seat on the Board. Milena Milani Barrett is a first generation Italian American and has been a resident of Clintondale for over 20 years. She has an Associate’s degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree from Marist College. The library has always been a huge part of her life. Whether it has been the endless supply of books that helped homeschool one of her children, or most recently taking a class and learning to loom a hat! You can always find Milena at the library. She has been an active volunteer all of her life, a web content creator, and most recently served on the board as Communications Director for Lourdes Rowing Association. Milena would be honored to serve the community of Highland.
