Highland Hose Co. No. 1 will hold its annual Public Safety Day on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Highland Fire District Headquarters, 25 Milton Ave.

The free, family-friendly event will feature opportunities to meet local firefighters, police officers, EMTs and paramedics, take photos with fire trucks and police cars, and watch fire department demonstrations. Children can try out a fire hose line and enter the Ladies Auxiliary’s firematic toy raffle. Refreshments will be available.

The event coincides with Fire Prevention Week, which runs Oct. 5-12. For more information, call 845-691-2152.
