Flora Stimpfel of Montgomery, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in Middletown. She was 96.
The daughter of the late Joseph and Katerina Belich, she was born April 14, 1927 in Slovenia.
Flora worked as a seamstress in Manhattan and spent her free time spoiling her family and friends with homemade baked goods, food and hand knitted items.
She was the widow of Ernest Stimpfel.
Survivors include her daughter Honor Clementz, 4 grandchildren Raymond Clementz, Christine Clementz, Justin E. Belich and Diana Belich; 4 great grandchildren; Michael Leser, James Leser, Hannah Clementz and Otto Clementz; and many nieces and nephews overseas.
Along with her parents, husband and son (Marino Belich) she was predeceased by all 13 of her brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Saturday, March 16 at Holy Name of Mary Church, Montgomery. Entombment was in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newburgh, NY.
