Emma Mary (Puetz) Davis passed away on December 27th at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie. She was 66 years old.

Emma was born on April 15th (most others know it as tax day), 1956 in Cornwall, NY. She was the daughter of William Karl and Angeline Theresa (Cavo) Puetz.

Emma worked for the Marlboro Central School District for many years, starting as a recess aide and working her way up to be head cook. She cooked many meals for the kids, using her secret ingredient, love. In addition to the school, she worked as a camp cook for some years at Camp Wendy among other jobs.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Davis of Marlboro, son Richard Davis of Marlboro, daughter and son-in-law Tracy and Fred Hurley of Newburgh,  and grandson, Freddie Hurley. She is also survived by a brother Alexander Puetz, a great aunt, Betty (Sam) Vriesema, and a large number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her other siblings are brothers: Ronald, James, Michael, William, and sisters: Francine, Marlene, Rose, and Lottie.

Emma was an old soul who usually knew what to say or cook to make someone feel loved. She and her husband would often finish each other's sentences. She loved her husband, her family, gardening, and spending time with her grandson.
