Edward W. Floor, 85, a longtime resident of Marlboro, NY passed away on December 24, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Eddie was born in Queens, NY, on February 10, 1933 to Edward L. Floor and Margaret (Puff) Floor, who predeceased him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Rosemarie and his five children, Betty and Jay Winokur, Michael and Cindy Floor, Rosemarie and Jim Cook, Peter Floor and Lisa and Eric Truhn. He was “Poppy” to 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters Florence and Elaine, many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his two brothers Joe and Willie.
He served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955. He was a hardworking man. He worked for years as a carpenter. He was an avid boxing fan and enjoyed crabbing, going to the casino and telling jokes. He was loved by all.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, December 29, at St. Mary’s Church in Marlboro. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Middlehope.
