Donald P. Henry of Maybrook, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2023 in Middletown. He was 73.
The son of the late Donald C. and Mary Calley Henry, and husband of his late wife Mildred J. Henry (Memmelaar) he was born on June 6, 1950 in Cornwall. Don was a Corrections officer for Wallkill Correctional for 37 years. Donald served in the United States Navy as a Seabee in the 5th Marine Division during numerous tours in Vietnam.
He was a founding member of the Orange County Farmers Museum. He was a Member of the Maybrook VFW. Donald was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed.
Donald was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. His survived by; daughters, Tracy Henry of Middletown, Mary C. Lewis (David of Bloomingburg, NY; grandchildren, Hailey Lewis and Claire Lewis; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Mildred, his parents and sister Suzanne Cunningham.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 2, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at the Gridley- Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard Street, Walden. Burial will be in Orange County Veterans Cemetery at 111 Craigville Road, Goshen on Thursday August 3, at 11 a.m.
