Did your water bill get lost in the mail?

Residents who are in the November billing cycle may not have received their water bills yet, or received them later than anticipated. The Town of Lloyd is aware of their delayed status, is working on it with the Post Office and asks residents to please refrain from contacting the Water Department with this matter.

Gina Marie’z Academy of Performing Arts presents Dinner & Dancing! 
The 2021-22 Gina Marie’z of Performing Arts Dance Company presents a full dance showcase while dinner and dessert will be served. The company dancers have missed performing for the local community during the pandemic, and have worked hard on these routine since the summer! Come for a spaghetti dinner and watch their hard work come to life on the dance floor before they bring the routines to competition!
The event will be held on December 3 from 5-7 p.m. at St. Augustine’s School 35 Phillips Avenue. Tickets are $18 per person if purchased before November 24. $20 at the door .

You may purchase your tickets at the front desk at 10 Commercial Ave Highland NY at Gina Marie’z Studio before the event. 
 
Highland Public Library Events and Activities: 
The library will be closed on Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26. Please plan accordingly. 


Curbside: Turkey Craft Kit 
  For ages 8-12.  Turkey Craft Kits  are available to be picked up through our curbside service or by stopping in all week long until Saturday, Nov. 27.  There are only 10 kits available for the week.  The kit includes templates and instructions. Registration is required. 
New to the craft kits are a book that will go with the subject of the craft. Book needs to be returned within 3 weeks from when you checked it out.  
 
Beginning Loom Knitting 
Having difficulty maneuvering knitting needles? Try loom knitting. 
This class is for new loomers or just to brush up on your previous skills. 
We will cover how to wrap the loom and the basic knit stitch for making a hat.  
Hat and scarf patterns will be provided. 
We will not be creating a project, if you would like to keep your work, please check out a round loom from the Library of Things in the library, or bring your own.  Looms can be purchased at Michaels for under $20.  We will be using bulky yarn. 
 
Make Your Own Computer Class 
How to register: You can reserve time for any computer class at your convenience. Just click on the reserve link in the library calendar of events to choose a day/time and complete the form. You will receive a call prior to your class to discuss your learning goals. Meeting information will be sent prior to your class.  Prefer to stay home? We can set up a Zoom meeting. 
If you can not find a time that suits your need on the calendar, please email ddavies@highlandlibrary.org with your requested time. We will do our best to accommodate you. 
 
Curbside Craft Kits need to be picked up within the week of the craft
