The Dutchess Community College Foundation Holiday Craft Fair, a Hudson Valley tradition for more than half a century, returns Thanksgiving weekend for its 52nd year. Organized in partnership with Quail Hollow Events for the second time, the fair promises a curated shopping experience celebrating handmade artistry.
Known for its biannual Woodstock-New Paltz Art & Crafts Fair, Quail Hollow brings its expertise to this decades-old event, which features over 100 artists and makers. The fair offers a festive alternative to the mass-market frenzy of Black Friday, with all items handmade and the artists themselves on site.
“This isn’t just holiday shopping,” said Ola Rubinstein, Quail Hollow’s director. “The heart of these festivals is the connection between visitor and maker. By engaging with the artists, shoppers gain insight into the creative process and the stories behind their purchases.”
The craft fair will showcase a wide range of handcrafted goods, including fine art, ceramics, jewelry, woodwork, fiber arts, specialty foods, and small-batch cosmetics. Shoppers can browse heirloom-quality pieces such as decorative ceramics, cutting boards, sweater-scarves, and unique jewelry, alongside holiday favorites like fresh wreaths and ornaments.
The event takes place at Dutchess Community College’s Falcon and Drumlin halls on Saturday, Nov. 30, and Sunday, Dec. 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Shuttles will be available between the two venues. Tickets and additional details can be found at quailhollow.com.
