Charles Casimir Restko Jr., 80, a longtime resident of Milton, died Friday March 18, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center surrounded by his family.  Born in Staten Island, NY on March 29, 1941 he was the son of Charles Sr and Mary Restko.  Charles married Joan Lyons on July 12, 1986.

 Charles is survived by his wife Joan, sister Arlene and brother-in-law Richard Ciferri of Elizaville, his daughters Patricia Fischer of Highland, Melissa Broe and her husband Charles of New Windsor, his son Charles and his wife Joyce of Coxsackie, grandchildren Kara and Tyler Fischer, Charles and Adrian Broe, Kayla Lewis, Charles and Rachel Restko, and his great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

 In addition to his parents Charles was predeceased by his sister Catherine Mustari and brother Ronald Restko and his first wife Diana Cornell-Walker, the mother of his three children.

 For most of his life Charles was a proud iron worker with Local 417 and retired from a position at Zumtobel Lighting Inc. in Highland  Charles loved bowling, playing on his weekly bocce team and taking trips with his wife and friends.  He looked forward to spending time with his three children and their families at barbeques and other family events, especially around the holidays. After Sunday dinners he loved playing Dominoes with the competitive “Daughters of Dominoes.” Charles’ most cherished role was that of “Poppy” to his seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

 The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 23rd from 4-7pm at the DiDonato Funeral Home 1290 Rt 9W Marlboro

 A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday March 24 at St. Augustine Church in Highland. Burial will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Cemetery.
