Clintondale Church to hold food distribution
The Clintondale Christian Church Community Cupboard will hold its next food distribution on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 302 Crescent Ave.
The distribution is open to the first five individuals or families who sign up. Applicants must provide an email address and phone number on the sign-up form. Organizers will confirm pick-up availability with selected participants, and if contact cannot be made, the spot will be given to the next applicant.

Retirees welcome Vet Center director
Retirees of the New Paltz Community invite retired men and women everywhere to the monthly breakfast meeting on Monday, February 3, at 8 a.m., at the New Paltz Plaza Diner.
Joanna Dempsey, who is in charge of the New Paltz Community Center on Veterans Drive, will talk about the many of the activities provided at the Center for Seniors.

Plattekill PTA hosting pajama Bingo night
The Plattekill PTA invites families to a fun-filled Pajama Bingo Night on Thursday, Feb. 6, at 6 p.m. at Plattekill Elementary School. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite pajamas for the event.
Admission is free for PTA members, with breakfast favorites available for purchase. Families are asked to reserve their spot by Friday, Jan. 31. In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 13.

Wallkill High School to host Music Variety Show
Wallkill High School will host a Music Variety Show on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 6:30 p.m. in the school auditorium on Robinson Drive.
Tickets are $5, and the event will feature performances by student musicians. Attendees can also participate in a raffle and enjoy a bake sale.
Proceeds from the event will benefit music scholarships for students.

Clintondale Fire Department to Host Pasta Dinner Fundraiser
The Clintondale Fire Department is inviting the community to its Pasta and Meatballs Dinner Fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Clintondale Fire House, 1063 Route 44/55.
The event offers eat-in or take-out dining options. The meal includes pasta, meatballs, salad, bread, dessert, and a beverage. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $6 for children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and under eat for free.
Proceeds will support the fire department’s 100th-anniversary celebration.

Wallkill Volunteer Ambulance Corps to host Galentine’s Day
Paint & Sip
The Wallkill Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the Wallkill Fire Ladies Auxiliary are teaming up to celebrate Galentine’s Day with a Paint & Sip event on Feb. 13 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Wallkill Firehouse, 112 Bona Ventura Ave.
The event costs $35 per person and includes a paint-by-number canvas, brushes, paints, and an adult beverage. Light fare will be available for purchase.

Daughters of Sara to Host Black History Celebration
The Daughters of Sara will celebrate Black History Month with a cultural event on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Fellowship Hall, 98 West St., Marlboro.
The evening, themed “Enlarge Our Territory Through the Journey,” will feature live music, an art gallery, praise dancers, poetry, drumming, and a guest speaker. A Southern-inspired dinner, including fried chicken, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, cornbread, and desserts, will also be served.
Tickets are $20 per person, $5 for students, $10 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and under.
