Jacqueline M. Clegg-Deitz, of New Windsor, entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 8, 2023 surrounded by her family after a seven-year battle with cancer. She was 54.

Beloved daughter of Thomas J. and Margaret Clegg, Sr., she was born on September 13, 1968 in Newburgh.

Jacqui was a veterinarian technologist with Wyeth Pharmaceutical, Pearl River, NY. She was a member of the Meadow Hill Reformed Church, and worked as a secretary for the church. She held coat drives for the Newburgh Ministry. She was committee Chair for King of Kings Cub Scout Pack #288 and Boy Scout Troop #28 and a member of the Fostertown PTA. Jacqui was also a foster mother. She enjoyed gardening and loved her furbabies, Riley, Raya, Leo and Sugar.

Her greatest joy and the love of her life was her son Skylar. Her nieces and nephews meant the world to her as well. Jacqui also loved butterflies, and you could always find them hidden in every room in her home.

In addition to her parents of Newburgh, Jacqueline is survived by her son Skylar J. Deitz at home; her sister and brother-in-law Laurie and Butch VanLeuvan and nieces Emily and Abagail of Wallkill, NY; brother and sister-in-law Thomas J. and Annemarie Clegg, Jr and niece Kyala and nephew Jonathan.

She was predeceased by her fiancé, Todd Jay Little.
Plans for a Celebration of Life in Jacqui’s honor will be announced at a later date.
