National Read Across America Day is a nationwide celebration of reading that takes place annually on March 2 – the CONNECT program at the Highland Falls Intermediate School made the celebration of Dr. Seuss’s birthday a full week with fun activities. Read Across America was created by the National Education Association celebrate Dr. Seuss and encourage children to read. Here, some of the fun. Students enjoyed fun with a ‘Seuss Snapshots’ photo booth, reading and fun treats (including “red fish”, “book worms”, marshmallow ‘truffulla trees’ and Cat in the Hat cheese sticks!). CONNECT’s staff said “it was such a great week of Read Across America!” Follow CONNECT on Facebook at Hudson Valley Program.
