Tight race in New Windsor

With absentee ballots still to be counted, Incumbent George Meyers is clinging to the New Windsor Supervisor’s seat by a margin of 11 votes.

The unofficial vote tally gives Incumbent Meyers a lead over Republican challenger Stephen Bedetti.by a margin of 2244 to 2233.
If I win, I win, if I lose, I lose,” Meyers said. “I’m good either way.”

Bedetti shared a similar thought.

“Once they’re (absentee ballots) all counted and numbers are in then there’ll be a clear winner and then we move forward,” Bedetti said. “It’s about the taxpayers in the town here. I still have a job to do on the town board and the supervisor has his job as a supervisor.”

Other results showed clear winners for council. Republicans Steven Moreau and Eve Lincoln, with 2,535 and 2,468 votes respectively, were the winners over Democrats Michele Marte-Indzonka and Joseph Ammons, who tallied 1,762 and 1,500 votes.
