Saverio Cea, of Rockledge, FL, formerly of New Windsor, entered into rest on Saturday, August, 28, 2021. He was 88.
Son of the late Paolo and Maria (Antonacci) Cea, he was born on September 18, 1932 in Toritto Bari, Italy.
“Sal” as he was known to family and friends was a retired laborer with Laborer’s Union #17, Newburgh, NY, and was also caretaker for Sacred Heart Church. He retired to Florida eleven years ago.
Survivors include a son, Paul N. Cea (Claudia Campos) of Rockledge, FL; a daughter, Maria A. Ceely of Cornwall-on-Hudson; and two grandchildren, Rebecca Cea and Christina Cea of Melbourne, Fl.
Sal was predeceased by his wife Gloria M. (Crudele) Cea in 2010; a brother Mauro, and sisters Julia and Angelica.
Visitation will take place on Monday, September 6, from 2 to 5 pm, at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Parish of St. Mother Theresa of Calcutta, Sacred Heart Church, 25 S. Robinson Ave., Newburgh.
Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Mausoleum, Rt 9W, Newburgh.
Arrangements are under the care of White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh.
