Rhinebeck Bank opens Broadway branch

The Rhinebeck Bank has officially opened a new branch in the City of Newburgh at 456 Broadway.

The announcement for the new branch was made via a press release from Rhinebeck Bank which states that this bank branch joins several other branches located in Orange County. Rhinebeck Bank currently has branches located in Monroe, Warwick, Middletown and Goshen.

The ribbon cutting for the new building took place on Wednesday, September 29. Local leaders, business owners and community members of Newburgh and members of Rhinebeck Bank joined together to celebrate the new institution. In March of this year, it was announced that the bank building itself was where the former Citizens Bank was before leaving.

Nicole Tompkins, Vice President, Area Retail Leader for Orange County, recently joined the Rhinebeck Bank staff. In her short time, Tompkins’s role within the branch is the management of the five financial centers within Orange County.

In speaking about the branch and coming into the City of Newburgh, Tompkins noted that within the business district of Newburgh, there were no direct financial institutions available for residents. In the immediate area, TD Bank currently sits at 800 Broadway while other banks such as CHASE and M&T are located on 17K which are just in and outside of the city limit.

Now that a financial institution is back within the city, Tompkins says that Rhinebeck Bank is committed to the growth, support and well-being of the city’s residents.

“We’re happy to be in Newburgh and serve the families and business owners there,” Tompkins said.

Rhinebeck Bank President and CEO Michael J. Quinn stated in the release words of excitement for the bank and the commitment to financial support that will be available for residents in the coming days.

Tompkins noted that Rhinebeck Bank is committed to working in the community through the local school district, creating financial literacy programs, and assisting in financial planning. The overall support from the local community has made the welcome worthwhile. The hope is for community members and businesses to start creating their own relationships with the bank and establishing credit, Tompkins said.

Rhinebeck Bank will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. On Saturdays, it will open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 12:30 p.m. For more information about the bank and its services, visit rhinebeckbank.com.
