It has become abundantly obvious to Newburgh taxpayers, that the NECSD BOE has not been transparent about their inept, disgraceful decision to authorize their controversial $1 Million payout. 

The 1/9/22 TH-R edition attempted to share their investigation into this but were limited due to most documents being heavily redacted.  We all deserve to have access to the facts, and want to know exactly what occurred to the victims allegedly sexually harassed by the suspended superintendent, and the board member verbally harassed and threatened with physical violence in executive meetings. With all due respect to Orange County District Attorney, David Hoovler’s office, many of us feel this travesty should be reported to, and also investigated by the U.S. Department of Justice, NYS Department of Education, and the NYS District Attorney. Perhaps their findings will uncover, and finally expose all of the long overdue, hidden truth.  After all, these funds could have been better spent by applying toward students who are hungry to learn, or struggling academically complicated by the never ending Covid Pandemic.
