NWPD make arrest in prostitution investigation

The Town of New Windsor Police Department uncovered a prostitution operation at A&A Spa located at 357 Windsor Highway and arrested an involved employee. The investigation into the business took place on Monday, June 13 after receiving a customer complaint suggesting prostitution was being conducted inside the business.

During the investigation, an undercover officer was reported to have entered the business and was offered sexual conduct in return for a fee by an employee of the spa. Suwan Wang, 56, of Flushing, NY, was arrested by the New Windsor Police Department and charged with prostitution. Wang is set to appear at the Town of New Windsor Justice Court on June 28, 2022 at 2 p.m. for arraignment.

Police Chief Robert Doss released a statement following the police work done by his officers. “I anticipate additional undercover operations and inspections of these types of massage parlors and spas very soon,” Doss stated. “Consider this fair warning to those who operate these types of illicit businesses and to those individuals who visit them. We will not tolerate this type of activity in this town.”

New Windsor Town Supervisor George Meyers also released a statement following the investigation.

“The fact that this is occurring across the road from one of our local schools is troubling to me,” stated Meyers. “Any future arrests will include the names and addresses of those involved in this illegal activity.”
