Three facility roofs, the highway department garage at Stewart Airport, the building and grounds building at the airport and the Brook Street Pump Station, also at the airport, are in need of repair.
According to Town Supervisor George Meyers, bids for these three buildings’ roofs would go out to bid in June or July of this year. “I spoke to the engineers the other day, I want to make sure we get it done before the fall and the winter come at us again so we don’t have any more problems,” said Meyers.
The highway garage and building will be bonded by the town while the Brook Street Pump Station will be taken out of surplus, according to Meyers.
