The Newburgh Free Academy bowling teams are off to a good start with the boys’ team winning their first four matches of the season and the girls’ team winning three of their first four.

Both teams finished last week with 7-0 wins over the Washingtonville Wizards. The boys’ team has won all four meets of the season with a 7-0 score.

The Goldbacks have beaten Highland, Marlboro and Kingston.

The girls’ team’s only loss came to Kingston, 5-2 on Dec. 14.

Both teams will head into the Holiday Recess after a Tuesday match against the Beacon Bulldogs.
