The Newburgh City Council on March 10 approved an agreement with CSX Transportation, Inc., for sewer infrastructure work as part of the city’s Long-Term Control Plan Combined Sewer Control Facility Project.
Public Works Commissioner Jason Morris presented the agreement at a recent council work session. The agreement involves abandoning existing sewer infrastructure on CSX’s right-of-way and constructing new sewer infrastructure in its place. The project, once completed, is expected to cost $45 million.
