The New Windsor Town Board received and filed a letter of retirement that was submitted to by Police Chief Robert Doss during the regular meeting on February 1. The letter was dated January 30 and the last day of work for Doss will be February 17, 2023. The previous year, 2022, Doss was honored by Town Supervisor George Meyers, the town board and his family for 25 years of service to the town police department.

“Robert is retiring and moving on to a county job and we’ll speak more about Rob at another time but he’s really done a great job with the town police department and we’re all gonna miss him,” said Meyers.
