Joseph Ciantar, of Wallkill, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. He was 94.
Son of the late Saviour and Mary (Curmi) Ciantar, he was born September 11, 1927 in Tarxien, Malta.
“Joe” as he was known to family and friends, was a retired cabinet maker with Dominick’s Kitchen Cabinets, Newburgh, NY. Coming to the United States in 1955, Joe liked to watch sports and was a huge Mets fan.
Joe is survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents is was predeceased by three brothers, John, Charles and Emanuel Ciantar, and three sisters, Nina Sarsero, Julia Camilleri and Sunta Cassar.
Private cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory.
A Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Plattekill, with Fr. Michael Omachi officiating.
Inurnment will follow at the Cedar Hill Mausoleum.
