POTABLE WATER STATIONS CURRENTLY OPERATING AT 401 WASHINGTON STREET AND CORNER OF LIBERTY & BAY VIEW - *MUST SUPPLY OWN CONTAINER* - a significant water main break has occurred in the area of Little Britain Road, resulting in many City residents experiencing low or no water. The City's Engineering Department, Water Department, Department of Public Works, and Fire Department are all on the scene assessing the damage. The City's Water Department is equipped for water emergencies, and the City's coordinated response is underway. Updates will be provided as they are available.

Bring tap water to a rolling boil, boil for one minute, and cool before using. Or use bottled water certified for sale by the New York State Department of Health. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and preparing food until further notice.

This Boil Water Notice applies to the residents of the entire City of Newburgh.
