The Town of Newburgh Planning Board voted to reschedule and circulate public notices for a town code required balloon test on Saturday, December 10 for a proposed Verizon Wireless cell tower project. The original balloon test was scheduled for Saturday, November 5 but was canceled twice due to wind conditions and wind forecasts.
Town records indicate the proposed project is for the proposed construction of a 120 foot high monopole and a 2,500 plus or minus square foot based equipment compound on a private undeveloped 30.4 acre parcel of land that borders Orange and Ulster Counties. A total of nine proposed panel antennas are included on the site plan for the project.
