William J. Greeney, of New Windsor, entered onto rest on Sunday, September 22, 2024. He was 86.
Son of the late William Lester and Adele (Tullio) Greeney, he was born September 7, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY.
‘Bill” as he was known by friends and family, was a retired tax auditor with NYS Exercise Tax, New York State. In his younger years Bill wanted to be a forest ranger, and he loved being out in the woods. He loved and enjoyed being with his grandchildren, and he also loved his standard schnauzer dogs, all five of them throughout the years.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Diane E. Greeney; a son, John (Jessica Lynn) Greeney of Poughkeepsie, NY; and two grandchildren, Abigail and Lucas.
