Varsity Volleyball
September 23: O’Neill beat Port Jervis 3-1 with scores of 23-25, 25-21, 25-14, 25-16.
September 25: Beacon beat O’Neill 3-0.
September 27: Final score was O’Neill 3, Fallsburg 0.

Boys’ Cross Country
September 24: O’Neill lost to Burke in a meet at Burke. For the Raiders, RJ Harrison (19:23) came in fourth, Brandon Thorne (22:08) came in tenth, Vincent Magallanes (22:48) came in 12th, Will Wilson (23:43), Kale Putt (24:17) came in 15th and Constantine Luoma (31:34) came in 18th.
September 28: At the Admiral Harrier Invite at Hudson Valley Sports Dome in Milton (Class B-C-D) O‘Neill finished in third place as a team (3.1 mile course). Individually, Peter Dacunto (16:55.0) finished fifth, 14. Leo Knox (18:00.6) was 14th, Matthew Kick (18:26.8) was 18th, Aven Mietus (18:34.3) was 19th, Sam Kloepper (18:34.6) was 20th, and Sam Tilman (19:15.0; 29) was 27th.

Girls’ Cross Country
September 24: The Raider girls beat Burke in a meet at Burke and Tuxedo. For O’Neill, Claire VanPelt (23:20) came in second, Roni Arbogast (23:46) came in third, Sophie Catudal (24:38) came in fifth, Bella Woolard (25:17) came in sixth, and Amaia Sharrock (25:58) came in eighth.

September 28: At the Admiral Harrier Invite at Hudson Valley Sports Dome in Milton (Class B-C-D) the Raider girls finished in second place as a team. In individual results, Erin Smith was eighth (20:34.4), Aimee Hipp was ninth (20:47.3), Maureen Dacunto was 10th (21:08.7), Veronica Wolf was 11th (21:21.8), Maryann Kick was 13th (21:45.8), Amelia Gash was 15th (22:14.4) and Alexandra Gash was 16th (22:19.2).

Girls’ Soccer
Raiders rip Sullivan West, 6-0
Emery Deekens had two goals and an assist, leading the James I. O’Neill Raiders to a 6-0 win over Sullivan West on Wednesday.
Kaelyn Mitroka had two goals, while Jael Guy and Beth Reeves had one each. Maddie Zdeb and Shill Dankowski had an assist each and C.J. Conkey made five saves.

The Raiders fell to the Beacon Bulldogs, 2-0, on Thursday as the Bulldogs got goals from Stella Reinke and Reilly Landisi.
Victoria Maruggi made seven saves for the Bulldogs..
Conkey made 18 saves for the Raiders (7-2). The Raiders are 8-2 overall.

Cornwall Central High School
Varsity Volleyball

September 23: At Beacon Cornwall lost a close one 3-2 (28-26, 25-19, 10-25, 14-25, 15-8). Toni Negron had 21 kills, and Victoria Hinchcliff had 46 kills and seven digs.
September 25: At home, Cornwall beat Port Jervis 3-0 with scores of 25-10, 25-14, 25-21. Victoria Hinchcliff had 28 assists, three digs and two kills; Toni Negron had 13 kills and six digs; Lily Reynolds had 13 kills; Lilian Defelice had 17 digs and two assists; Ana Sonko had six blocks and five kills.
September 27: Cornwall beat Liberty 3-0 with scores 25-9, 25-3, 25-13. Lyla Otto had five assists; Rylie Pikarsky had three kills; and Toni Negron had eight kills and eight aces. The Dragons are 8-1 on the season.

Boys’ Cross Country
September 21: In the Suffern Invitational Varsity B three-mile race at Bear Mountain, Cornwall came in second. Top finishers were Luke Potter in third (16:04.4), Noah Droz in 13th (16:51.2), Micah Greene in 16th (17:02.6), Daniel Cibirka in 25th (17:35.2), Owen Wissner in 31st (17:43.5) and Oliver Grammerstorf in 37th (17:53.4).

September 24: In an OCIAA meet at Warwick’s 3.09-mile Sanfordville course, placing for Cornwall were: Micah Greene (17:04.8), Colin Lewis (17:13.2), Noah Droz (17:32.2) and Owen Wissner (17:42.4).

Girls’ Cross Country
September 21: At the Suffern Invitational (Varsity C) meet at Bear Mountain, Cornwall came in second overall on the 3-mile course. Dragon Sophia Semo finished first. Other top finishers were: Noemi Goitia in tenth (19:40.5), Olivia Cibirka in 19th (20:34.4), Mia Siegel in 27th (21:09.4), Kaitlyn Hartwig in 35th (21:27.6) and Marisa Barnsby in 48th (22:19.0).
September 24: Cornwall won the day at an OCIAA meet at Warwick’s Sanfordville course (3.09 miles), beating Warwick and Monroe-Woodbury. Sophia Semo (18:28.1) finished in first place. Other top Cornwall runners were Kassandra Enos (19:05.2), Noemi Goitia (19:37.9), Olivia Cibirka (20:11.5) and Mia Siegel (20:32.9).

Boys’ Soccer

September 26: At Goshen, Cornwall won 2-1: Aaron Schulman scored, and the Dragons got an own goal for the win. Brett Zimmer had 12 stops in goal.
September 28: The Dragons beat Valley Central 3-0 with goals by Carlo Vallejo, Jayden Wendt and Finn Harden. Brett Zimmer had two stops for Cornwall. The Dragons are 7-2 overall.

Girls Soccer
Dragons blank Monticello, 8-0
Sam Lawney and Victoria Weber scored two goals each, leading the Cornwall Dragons to an 8-0 win over the Monticello Panthers in an Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association Division II on Sept. 23 at girls’ soccer game at Kristi Babcock Memorial Park in New Windsor.

Callie Laudato, Alexa Siegel, Alex Muller and Lydia Semo each had a goal. Jackie Weber, Maddie Vander Heide, and Laudato each had an assist. Nora Hogan had two assists.
Alexis Heins made 11 saves for Monticello and Dejenae Dillon added six.
The Dragons battled the Kingston Tigers to a 2-2 tie on Wednesday.
