If you stop by the Cornwall Farmers Market on Wednesdays (11 a.m.-5 p.m.) there’s always the chance that you’ll stumble upon a group of children listening to a story, usually in the vicinity of the Cornwall Youth Garden Club. The first week of the market Susan Fernandez, who works in the children’s department at the library, entertained with a fun story. But stick around the booth after the story – the Youth Garden Club typically has either free plants or seeds to give away; they’ll take your food scraps for compost; and there are activities for kids.
