It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kasey Frances McCarthy, who peacefully entered into rest on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
Born in Cold Spring, NY, on October 4, 1977, Kasey was the beloved daughter of Gloria Parisi and the late George Butwell. She was a proud mother, cherished sister, and special aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Kasey’s love for her children, Dylan and Harper, was immeasurable. From the very moment she knew they existed, her love for them surpassed that of most mothers over the course of a lifetime. Her pride in being their mother was fierce. Kasey’s creativity and nurturing spirit will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her children, Kasey is survived by her husband, Christopher F. McCarthy; her mother, Gloria Parisi; her brother, George Butwell; and her sister and brother-in-law, Sara and Mario Gallo. Daughter-in-law to Denise Workman and Fred McCarthy. Kasey’s nieces and nephews—Kora Zen, Giulia, Lucia, Giacomo, Lilliana, Alessia, Sebastiano, Emilia, and Giovanni—brought her much joy, and she will always be remembered as their loving, playful aunt.
A private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Visitation on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at White, Venuto & Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh, NY 12550.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Chapel, 433 South Plank Road, Newburgh, NY 12550. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Union Avenue, New Windsor, NY.
Kasey’s memory will forever be in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in peace.
