On May 28, Cornwall Police Chief Joseph Gebert and Sgt. Douglas Schofield responded to a call for a car accident that had resulted from a cardiac incident. The two, using the AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) in one of their police cars were able to keep the patient alive until additional response from Cornwall’s EMS and Storm King Engine. “The patient ended up going home thanks to their swift and expedient actions,” Assemblyman Chris Eachus said as he honored the two with citations at last Monday’s Town Board meeting. “I really thank you for your service.”
