On September 6, Cornwall Middle School held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new book vending machine, which was donated by the PTO. The vending machine works just like one for snacks, but students can only use tokens to retrieve a book. Tokens are earned or won as a prize and awarded by their teachers or a school administrator. Students insert their token into the machine and select the number for the book they want. Once a book is taken from the vending machine, another of a different title will take its place. Students may keep the book after redeeming it.
