The Cornwall Highlands Arts Alliance is pleased to announce that Orange County artists Ciro Attardo from Warwick and Terry Murray from Cornwall will be exhibiting their creative work at Leo’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria in Cornwall (23 Quaker Ave.). Their work will be on display from January 18 through March 15.
Featuring oil paintings, watercolors, digital collages, and photography, this two-person show will be a Mediterranean montage that immerses viewer’s in Ciro’s experiences in Spain, the Riviera, and Italy and Terry’s experiences in Morocco.
Ciro Attardo is a self-taught oil and watercolor painter known for his representational style. He is inspired by the beauty of the natural world. Subjects for his paintings are often chosen from travel experiences. His artwork has been displayed in various gallery exhibits. He is currently a member of the Wallkill Center for the Arts, Goshen Art League, Cornwall Art Collective and North East Watercolor Society
Terry Murray is a practicing artist with a studio in Cornwall. Over the past 10 years he has explored the intersection of nature and human nature through paint, wood assemblage, and digital creations. His work has been featured in galleries and exhibits throughout the Mid-Hudson Region, including Orange County Community College, the Cold Spring Art Center, River Winds Gallery, Tivoli Artists Group, and the Arts Society of Kingston. He has had one-person shows at Orange County Community College, the Arts Society of Kingston, and through the Cornwall Highlands Arts Alliance.
Murray is a co-chair of the Cornwall Highlands Arts Alliance.
Terry has designed and painted two community murals. The first is in the Women and Family shelter of Fearless! of Orange County and the second is in Riverlight Park in the Town of Cornwall.
An opening reception will be held on Saturday, February 1 from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Pianist Zachary Slichta will play soft jazz for the event.
