Two and a half out of five scheduled times, the Cornwall-Highlands Arts Alliance was able to get in this summer’s ‘Arts on Main’ event in Cornwall – an evening where local artists, musicians, entertainers and shoppers all found each other in the vicinity of the Bridge St. Park and enjoyed the ambiance! The other two and a half times, Mother Nature got involved and rained.

This past Friday was the last of the planned events for 2024. Its purpose was three-fold: to support the arts and the community, to promote local artists and businesses, and to enhance life through the arts – judging from the number of people strolling along Main St. last week, mission accomplished!

While many artists – selling their wares – were at tables along the sidewalks, Rob Mounier – a fine artist, muralist and designer – was busy painting right in front of Bridge St. If you missed him, Mounier’s work is currently on display at 2 Alice’s Coffee Shop, or you can view his work at robmounier.com or on Instagram @robmounier.

And while Mounier was busy at work on his new canvas, around him children of all ages were dabbling in a little bit of chalk art on the ground, and with paints at a table manned by CCHS President Rebecca Kashinski.
