O’Neill High School’s Red Cross Club hosted a blood drive on January 7, with students, staff and faculty and residents of the community taking time to donate. That resulted in the student-run event surpassing its goal and collecting 26 units of blood. Surpassing the goal they set will allow for one senior student in the Club to receive a scholarship from the American Red Cross. There were quite a few first-time donors, Club Advisors Allie Gonzalez and John Marcinak proudly said, and they thanked the students who volunteered to work at the event.
