A problem with geese
Posted
About a month ago the Village of Highland Falls spent $3100 to remove 21 geese who called Roe Pond in Highland Falls home. They were humanely removed, in a process that was supposed to guarantee a more sanitary park – particularly the softball field and playground -- for community members who spend time there. However, as of last week there are probably three dozen or more new geese making themselves comfortable on the lake and grassy areas. At the Village Board meeting last week trustees said they’ll have to contact the company they initially used to see what can be done.
