It was cold, but it was super festive in Cornwall-on-Hudson on Saturday evening, thanks to the efforts of the Cornwall-on-Hudson Special Events Committee and Cornwall Youth Committee and their many volunteers. Not only were the Jazz Pioneers playing holiday favorites (leading to some caroling) in the Bandstand, but Storm King Engine Company #2 escorted Santa to Hudson St. to lead a countdown to the annual tree lighting and the lighting of new snowflakes in the area! Then Santa – having some extra time on his hands since it’s still early in the season -- met with dozens of children (and some moms and dads!) in the lobby of Storm King Lounge and posed for photos as the band continued to play. There was also a cookie decorating station for kids and hot cider and hot chocolate for young and old.
