NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT SELF-EVALUATION REPORT2023
TOWN OF NEW WINDSOR, NY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Town Board of the Town of New Windsor will hold a Public Hearing on the 5 th day of April, 2023 at 7:00 o'clock p.m. at Town Hall, 555 Union Avenue, New Windsor, New York 12553 on a proposed Americans with Disabilities Act Self-Evaluation Report for the Town of New Windsor. The Town Board of the Town of New Windsor invites public comments and encourages input and participation from all, with particular focus on:
People that live and/or work and/or travel in or through the New Windsor area, and have
needed to use programs or services operated by the Town;
People with disabilities;
Senior citizens;
Other individuals and members of groups that encounter barriers related to accessing
programs and services;
People with experience and/or knowledge of ADA planning and the implementation of such plans, and
Any interested Town of New Windsor residents or business and property owners.
A copy of the proposed Report may be reviewed at the Town Clerk's Office, 555 Union Avenue, New Windsor, NY, during regular working hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or by visiting the Town's website at: http://newwindsor-ny.gov.
Anyone having comments or questions regarding the Town of New Windsor's proposed ADA Self Evaluation Report,
submit same to: questionsnewwindsor-ny.gov until April 5, 2023 at 4:30 p.m.
The Town tentatively plans to recommend adoption of this plan at the May Town Board meeting,
is also open to the public.
The Town of New Windsor Town Board will, at the above date, time and place hear all persons interested in the subject matter hereof. Persons may appear in person or by agent. All written communications addressed to the Town Board must be received by the Town Board at or prior to the public hearing. Written comments may also be submitted to questionsnewwindsor-ny.gov through April 5, 2023 until the public hearing is closed.
The location of the hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities. If special accommodations are needed for persons with disabilities, those with hearing impairments, or those in need of translation from English, those individuals should contact Kelly Allegra, Town Clerk, at (845) 5634611 or kallegranewwindsor-ny.gov at least one week in advance of the hearing date to allow for necessary arrangements.
