William J. Nagle, Jr., of Goshen, entered into rest on Monday, December 21, 2020. He was 87.

Son of the late William J. Sr. and Josephine (Moser) Nagle he was born on February 15, 1933 in Cornwall, NY.

A lifelong area resident, “Bill” was a Supervisor with Avon, Suffern, retiring in 1986, and had a passion for fishing, especially on the Finger Lakes. Bill could also be found fishing the lakes of Monroe where he lived a good deal of his life. He was also a skilled Billiards player and a solid bowler having played in leagues for many years.

Bill attained the rank of Corporal in the Army during the Korean Conflict as a lineman in the Aleutian Islands.

Our family would like to thank the Forest Floor of The Valley View Center in Goshen for the great care during his time there.

Survivors include his son, Steven G. Nagle and his wife Gail of the Town of Newburgh; a daughter, Brenda De Jesus of Mulberry, FL; five grandchildren, Steven Nagle and his wife Keri, Amanda Nagle Kershaw and her husband Michael, Anthony Nagle, Rebecca De Jesus-Waggoner and her husband Austin and David De Jesus; six great grandchildren Madison Chloe Nagle, Mason A Nagle, Luke De Jesus, Sarah Rose De Jesus, Colin R Waggoner and Amara Rose De Jesus.

In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by an infant son, Jerome, his former wife Mary (Kraus) Naylor, his partner Joanne Geide, sisters Carol Keosky and Elizabeth Ann Nagle and a brother Bernard (Barry).

Private cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory.

Plans for a Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
