Vision of Wallkill meeting
What do you envision for the future of our Hamlet of Wallkill? Our organization’s vision and mission are to bring our community together through culture, art, recreation and entertainment. This past year when everything seemed to be canceled or closed, we implemented innovative and safe ideas to drive out the doldrums. We enlivened our summer nights with local bands to play on our town green while adhering to social distancing. We helped to engage local commerce through our Fall Town Wide Yard Sale. Finally, still keeping with tradition, a “Drive-thru Santa” was a highlight of the holiday tree lighting ceremony. We hope that with your lending hand, we can engage more people to these and other similar events.
We would love to meet you and hear your creative ideas. So come connect with us at our next Vision of Wallkill meeting on Thursday, February 11, 6:30 - 8:30 pm at the Community Room in the Shawangunk Town Hall. If you would like to see your suggestions come to fruition, join one of our several planning committees.

Beaded Jewelry Workshop

Vision of Wallkill is happy to present a Beaded Jewelry workshop. If you want to learn how to make your own beautiful jewelry, this workshop is for you. This workshop will be led by a professional jewelry maker who will share the time-honored skill of beading.
The workshop will be held in the Community Room at the Shawangunk Town Hall on Saturday, February 20 and will run from 1-2:30 p.m. The cost is $20 per person and will include a pre-selected color palette, instruction and a prepackaged snack and drink. In order to ensure your safety, we will limit the number of participants to 20 and only two people will be allowed per table. Sign up a family member or friend or come meet a similar jewelry-making enthusiast! Payment must be included with your completed application that can be found on VOW’s Facebook page or by calling 895-8712 or emailing dramapearl@aol.com
