St. Charles to host food distribution

Catholic Charities will host a pop-up, drive-through food pantry next Wednesday, March 10 at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, 2212 Route 44-55, Gardiner.

The distribution will take place between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and is contact-free. No reservations are needed.

The Feeding Our Neighbors initiative is made possible by support from St. Joseph’s Parish (New Paltz) and Food Bank of the Hudson Valley.

Volunteers are needed for both set up and distribution.

Some of the tasks involve carrying food boxes to tables, sorting, packing, bagging, setup and breakdown of folding tables, loading bags/boxes of food into client’s vehicles.

Shifts last two hours, and volunteers can sign up for multiple shifts.
