Richard P. Kennedy, of Wallkill, entered into rest on Monday, December 28, 2020. He was 69.
Son of the late John W. and Louise (Holmes) Kennedy, he was born on May 31, 1951 in New York, NY.
Originally from Highland Falls, Richard was a civilian worker for 35 years at the USMA, West Point. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church and a member of the West Point Club. Richard adored his son James, and was an avid fan of the Yankee’s and auto racing.
He is survived by his wife Esther, a son, James J. Kennedy, of Muncie, Indiana; two brothers, John Kennedy, Jr., of Fishkill and Michael Kennedy of Highland Falls; along with several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 4, 2020 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Plattekill, NY.
Private Cremation will follow at Cedar Hill Crematory.
