Due to weather conditions the July 1st Summer Concert was canceled. Don’t miss tonight’s event! At 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 8 and every Wednesday through August 26 “Music in the Grove” offers a free Summer Concert at Wooster Grove Memorial Park, 89 East Main Street. Tonight we look forward to featuring Fred “Midnight Slim” Scribner & LaurieAnne Savaglio, quite the dynamic duo.
Fred is a former member of the Levon Helm Band and has recorded with many blues legends such as Buddy Miles, Tom Jones and Donald Fagan of Steely Dan fame. He was inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame in 2014. LaurieAnne is a proven songwriter and has received many awards for her songwriting talent. She can transform seamlessly from a Patsy Cline tribute to Bonnie Raitt. Together, Fred and LaurieAnne will play classic rock, country blues and originals. This show will take you on an extraordinary musical journey! On July 15, the Bunker Boys will entertain. Bring your friends, your lawn chairs and stop by for a safe, socially distant concert. Also, call the Town of Montgomery Dial-A- Bus to schedule a Free pick up at 845-457-2622.

Please remind your neighbor, friend, relative that completing the Census survey will benefit you and the community you live in with representation in government and funding. There will be a Census table with library staff at the Music in the Grove concert series every Wednesday to answer all of your questions or concerns. The survey has only nine questions! Citizenship is not among them. Come by and chat with us. You may walk away with a fun incentive for filling out the survey!
