Holiday tree lighting set for Sunday

Happy belated birthday to Tony Marano.  Tony turned a quite young 96 years old on November 8th,  He is doing well, smiling at everyone he meets!  He is very much loved and celebrated his Day with friends and His daughter Debbie, her husband Michael and his grandchildren Rob, Mike, Caitlin and son in law Luke.
For those who don’t know Tony, he is a World War II Veteran and one of the founding members of VFW 2064 on Main Street.  He also worked on the railroad here in Maybrook and is active with the Railroad Museum.

The Village of Maybrook will be holding a Social Distancing Christmas Tree Lighting in the park on Sunday, November 29, at 6pm.
There will be performances by Kevin Cronin, Pam Murphy and our own Maybrook Troop 236 Scout Band”  There will be a Special Guest Appearance by the Jolly Man himself - SANTA CLAUS!
Please wear masks and practice social distancing.

On June 12, 2020 Gov. Cuomo issued an executive order - “New York State Police Reform and Reinvention Collaborative”.  The order requires all municipalities to review the practices of the police departments.  They must develop a plan for improvements of their practices as well as promote community engagement.
The order specifically requires an inclusive, open and transparent process.  As part of this process The Village is seeking input from it’s residents and business owners.  If you go to the Village website, Villageofmaybrook.com, you will find a link to take a survey.  Please go to the website and take the survey by 5pm on December 9th.
The Village would like to hear from all of us!

I recently heard from Robin Muth.  Robin is holding a “gentle chair yoga” class on Zoom.  The Chair Yoga classes are held on Monday evening from 7:00 - 8:15.  Robin is registered with Yoga Alliance.
The classes are $7 each or $30 for a 5 class card.  These classes are gentle and no prior yoga experience is necessary.  Anyone interested can contact Robin directly at greenflashyoga18@gmail,com.

I want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!
