Happy New Year everyone! Let the New Year bring healing to the sick; happiness to those in despair, love to the lonely, food for the hungry and peace to our world! May 2021 be a blessed year for all.

Thank you to the Village of Walden Recreation and Parks Department for ushering in the New Year with a free Online Concert with the Dan Brother Band followed by great fireworks.Thank you also to the Village of Walden, Dickie Baxter-Curasi Realty, Hunter Insurance and Acquisition Marketing for sponsoring this event.

I am very happy to report that Delia Bellarosa, formerly of Walden celebrated her 100th birthday on Sunday, January 3, 2021!
She decided that she would rather celebrate with a party on July 3 in honor of her grandmother’s birthday which I’m sure her son Michael will arrange. However, I am told that Delia would love to receive tons of cards.
Since it’s never too late to send a congratulatory card, please take a minute and send a card to Delia at 1606 Old Kings Highway, Saugerties, N. Y. 12477. Delia is the oldest living graduate of Mount Saint Mary College. She was a cryptologist for the U.S. Government working to break Japanese Codes during World War II. She taught French at Wallkill Central School for 16 years; was a teacher’s aide at Valley Central Middle School in her 70s.
Among her many accomplishments she was a Foster Parent, a volunteer for Hospice, a Tour Director at Old Stone Houses and Huguenot Historical Society and a volunteer for the Walden Sunshine Society. She particularly enjoyed becoming a grandmother at age 91.
Belated Happy Birthday wishes Delia. We are truly blessed to know you.
A very special neighbor, Alexandra Jane Williamson, daughter of Tag and Janet Williamson will celebrate her 12th birthday on January 7. Tag and Stephanie are looking forward to their sisters special celebration.
Enjoy your special Day Alex!
