GOP lawsuit breeds tyranny

Posted

Tyranny still lingers at our nation’s doorstep. GOP Congressman Gohmert of Texas along with other House Republicans filed a Constitution-shredding lawsuit in federal court. US District Court Judge Kernodle, a Trump appointee, dismissed the suit. Dismissal was a forgone conclusion based on the fact the lawsuit argued that Pence, who as VP will preside over the Congressional certification of the electoral college vote count on January 6, has the constitutional authority to ignore votes cast for Biden in states where the GOP has tried to color doubt on the results.

The GOP plaintiffs in this democracy-decimating lawsuit are seditionists willing to upend the 2020 election, to disenfranchise over 81 million voters and hand back the reins of government to Trump. Such a successful lawsuit would keep the GOP rogue mob in his good graces. Even though the suit was dismissed as was inevitable, its underhanded intent was to continue sowing distrust in the election’s integrity and in turn delegitimizing Biden’s presidency. Some people would call all this political theater but a more apt description would be tyranny.
