The community came together for a day of fun, friends and entertainment at General Montgomery Day last Saturday.
Attendees were graced with a blue sky and perfect weather. Families, teenagers, singles and couples weaved their way through the crowd and tents.
Vendors from all over the Hudson Valley sold food, home goods, crafts, art, clothes, baked goods and more.
Performers wowed the crowd at the stage and musical acts played top hits at the bandstand.
At the soap box derby, cub scouts raced down the street in hand-painted wooden cars, heads bent low, eyes narrowed in concentration.
Cub scouts spent weeks sanding, painting and fine-tuning their vehicles. Connor, from Cub Scout pack 30, painted his car blue and gold—the scouts of America’a colors.
“It was just fun,” Assistant Pack Leader Tricia Nowinski said.
