Gardiner Library presents a virtual art class
The Gardiner Library sponsors a fun, virtual 4-week Art Class with Amy Coté on Tuesdays starting July 7 from 7 to 8 p.m.
Join Amy virtually via Zoom in her Kingston studio exploring the method of Gridding. Gridding is a fun way to enlarge a doodle, photo or anything you’d like to turn into either a larger artwork or just to transfer to make something new and keep the original size.
This method has been around for a long time as a tool for creating correct proportions. The Egyptians used it, so did artists during the Renaissance and artists still use it today.
Amy Coté is an artist, educator and librarian. She has a MFA in painting and drawing from SUNY New Paltz and before that studied art at Bennington College and the New York Academy. She is a teacher’s assistant in the art department at Kingston High School and teaches after school art classes at the Center for Creative Education. Her work has been exhibited in NYC and many galleries in the Hudson Valley. Currently, you can see her work at the Varga Gallery in Phoenicia.

Contact Amy at acote@rcls.org for the Zoom link and required materials.
