Former Walden Mayor heads Purple Heart Hall

Former Mayor of the Village of Walden and longtime aide to Senator Bill Larkin, Brian Maher, was hired to serve as the full time Executive Director of the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor, Inc. (NPHHOHInc)
The NPHHOHInc is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to support, both through fundraising and other forms of outreach, the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor museum is located in New Windsor. The Hall of Honor is run by Director Anita Pidala and operates under the Palisades Interstate Park Commission.

In 2019 Maher has plans to head start a new project that will make it the mission of NPHHOHInc to provide trips to Purple Heart recipients from all over the country, to visit the Hall of Honor, West Point and other notable military landmarks here in the Hudson Valley.
