Debra A. Deyo, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Monday, December 7, 2020. She was 64. 

Daughter of John Monforte and the late Dorothy (Curtis) Monforte, she was born on August 18, 1956 in Cornwall.

A lifelong area resident, Debra or “Nana” as she was known by her loved ones, was a retired lead rural postal carrier for the US Postal Service in Wallkill, NY. She was a 1975 graduate of Wallkill High School anda parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church. A life member of the Model A. Restorers Club and also amember of Good Sam-Apple Valley Motorcoach Club. Her prized possession was her 1929 Model A Pickup Truck. Debra loved her family and friends, enjoyed quilting, crafting, cooking, baking her famous cookies, camping and gardening, and she loved her cats.

Survivors include her husband, David W. Deyo; her father, John Monforte of Wawarsing; two sons, David J. Deyo of Neversink, NY and Dennis J. Deyo of Grahamsville, NY; a brother, John (Joy) Monforte of Grahamsville, NY; a sister, Rosemary (Art) Valenza of SC; four grandchildren, David, Stephanie, Grace and Daniel; one great grandchild, Deegan; along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Sunday, December 13, 2020 at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh

Due to the continued public health concerns, please know that there is an occupancy limitation which may cause a wait time, please be respectful of your time visiting. Facial covering must be worn in the funeral home at all times, and social distancing must be practiced.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Plattekill, NY.

Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Marlboro,
