Michael Duffy of Walden graduated from Western New England University with a MS in Sport Leadership & Coaching on August 15, 2020.

Sandra Wiltshire received the 2020 Distinguished Alumna Award at SUNY Delhi. Wiltshire is a NYS Licensed Veterinary Technician and Certified Veterinary Practice Manager who serves as Associate Professor and Biology Department Chairperson at SUNY Ulster. She is a 1972 graduate of SUNY Delhi’s veterinary science technology program and earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Cornell University in 1974. Wiltshire was instrumental in helping to establish a representative voice for veterinary technicians in 1970 through the NYS Association of Veterinary Technicians. She founded Sundown Veterinary Management Consulting which provides practice management guidance for veterinary hospitals. Sandra Wiltshire has many professional affiliations that are a testament to her commitment to excellence in veterinary medicine, including service on veterinary technology program committees at both SUNY Ulster and SUNY Delhi. Garnetta Santiago, president of the NYS Association of Veterinary Technicians and fellow Delhi alum, nominated Sandra Wiltshire for “all the contributions she has made to the veterinary science profession for more than 50 years.”

Buffalo State is pleased to welcome the Class of 2024 to campus. The new Bengals started class on August 31 and include Alicia Brunson and Sebastian Merchan of Middletown and Mary Lastowski of Gardiner.

A total of 465 bachelor degrees were conferred by St. Lawrence University in May 2020. An in-person Class of 2020 commencement ceremony is planned for August 2021. They include Dana Congelosi of Wallkill and Mary Gallagher of Walden.

SUNY Delhi announces its Dean’s List for the spring 2020 semester, a recognition of academic achievement for students who enrolled in six or more credits and earned a 3.5 or higher grade-point average for the semester.

Nyla I. Thompson, daughter of Mr. Norbert Thompson of Bronx, N.Y., and Ms. Vanize Gallimore of Wallkill, N.Y., received a B.A. in computer science and economics from Williams College on Sunday, June 7, 2020. While enrolled at Williams, Thompson was Head Director of hip-hop dance group NBC, participant in contemporary dance group CoDa, and actively involved with the Admissions office as a Tour Guide and Admissions Ambassador. Honors and prizes include the Williams College Endowed Award for Williams-Exeter Programme at Oxford – Merit based grant covering full year tuition to study abroad at Oxford University, and dean’s list last semester (Fall 2019).
